Bill Eld aka Bill Young was born in Rochester, NY in 1945. Before getting into adult films, Bill Eld worked as a PE teacher, the performed as a dancer when he was approached to model for photographs. This eventually led to him starring in movies.

Bill chose to do gay porn specifically because he would stand out in it, but didn't have interest in marketing himself like other stars of the era (Peter Berlin, Jack Wrangler).

He had a surly look on film and director Jack Deveau described him as a mess, but wonderful to look at in fron of the camera - "a man in the full bloom of muscular beauty."

Eld worked with Colt and for directors Jack Deveau and Peter de Rome (prominently appearing in de Rome's only two feature films), and Toby Ross, among others.
